The Power of St. Jude

Categories: Mission & Ministry News,News,Stories

Dear Friend of St. Jude,

Lately I’ve been receiving a lot of letters from people who are overwhelmed with troubling circumstances in their lives.

I’ve also been receiving many letters from people who asked for St. Jude’s intercession in their lives and received it. Here are a few examples…

I have prayed to St. Jude many times over the years, and my prayers have always been answered. I prayed to St. Jude when my brother had cancer of the blood and needed a stem cell transplant. He survived the grueling procedure and has survived seven years without a recurrence of cancer. Thank you St. Jude!

I was disabled in a car accident and unable to return to work. As the primary wage earner, I was desperate. I prayed to St. Jude for his intercession to find a job for my husband that would keep us afloat, allow me to continue treatment and therapy, and help him to regain his sense of self-worth. Three days of prayer later, my husband received a call saying he’d been hired as a manager of a local business. He starts work tomorrow. Thank you St. Jude!

Thank you St. Jude for your intercession on behalf of my daughter. She needed to pay her property taxes and was short about $1,500. If the taxes were not paid, she would lose her home. After I prayed to St. Jude, she received the money she needed, plus extra, and was able to save her home. Thank you from a grateful mother for prayers answered.

These testimonials made me realize that people who are struggling need a little reminder that an answer to their prayers is as close as our beloved St. Jude.

St. Jude StatueOur patron saint of hope is willing to help any one of us. All we have to do is believe in God and put our trust in Him.

Your continued support of St. Jude Shrine brings help and hope to the poor and needy around the world. Whether it’s for food or medicine for a malnourished child in India…or for education for isolated children in the Andes Mountains of Peru…or for refugee aid for Catholics being terrorized by Boko Harem in our Cameroon diocese of Africa…your blessings give me and my fellow Pallottine priests and brothers the ability to make a very real difference in people’s lives.

Thanks to your continued support, we are able to keep the doors of the Shrine open for all those seeking comfort and hope! Thanks to your kindness and compassion, we are able to continue our important ministries in 46 countries around the world and right here at home. Please share another gift of your compassion and generosity today to help so many in need of hope.

When you send your gift, please also send your prayer intentions and petitions so that I can include your needs in our novenas and prayers presented here at the Shrine. Your petitions will also be presented daily at St. Jude’s tomb in the Vatican.

Never forget that all things are possible with a little help from St. Jude!

Wishing you the hope of St. Jude,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. Your gift today helps support all of our ministries, particularly our St. Jude Shrine and the poor we serve around the world. Please be as generous as possible and be sure to send your prayer requests so they can be remembered in the prayers and novenas at our Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
