An Urgent Request from India

Children in India

 Fr. Peter

Dear Friend of St. Jude,

We are so very grateful for all you do for our Pallottine missionaries who serve the poor and needy in 46 countries around the world. Your kindness, compassion and generosity often make the difference between life and death for so many impoverished people…like the ones whose story I bring you today.

I recently received an urgent request from Sister Ligi Thottakath, a Pallottine Sister serving in the Holy Family Province in India. Sister Ligi writes…

There is an HIV/AIDS pandemic here…and the little children suffer most of all. Infected by the disease themselves, these precious children care for their parents and watch them waste away from the deadly disease. Then, they are outcast, thrown out by their community and their extended families – the people who should have nurtured them and loved them as the innocent suffering children they are. Rejected and abandoned, they have no where to go but the streets.

Our Krupa Bhavan Center in Dacharam Village has rescued 25 of these orphaned children, and we desperately need your help to continue caring for them.

Our Center is truly a Home of Hope for these oppressed and abandoned children. We provide shelter, clothing, medical care, including HIV/AIDS treatments, and nutritional support. We also meet their educational, psychological and social needs. Recently, we won the right for these underprivileged children to attend government schools – a great achievement!

We have spent all our resources and hard work on this critical mission and can continue only with your generosity, support and collaboration. We are certain that with your help, we can provide better accommodations and service for these needy children to share the love of God.

Father Peter, we kindly ask for your help to give these deserving children a better future.

Children in IndiaPlease help me bring the hope and healing of a compassionate Christ to these children by offering your prayers and financial support for these precious children. Please join this ministry of hope and healing by sending your most generous gift today.

When you send your gift, be sure to send your special prayer intentions. Our priests and brothers will place your intentions in the hands of St. Jude and make sure they are remembered in our prayers, Novenas and Masses at the Shrine.

I am deeply grateful you are there with me to answer Christ’s call to minister to His suffering children. Together, we can make a tremendous difference in the lives of these children.

Please know I keep you in my prayers, thanking God each day for your faithful support.

Wishing you the hope of St. Jude,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. Your gift today will help support the children of the Krupa Bhavan Center as well as St. Jude Shrine and the poor we serve. Please be sure to send your prayer requests so they can be remembered in the prayers and Masses at our Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
