After being a stay at home mother for over 8 years I went back to college two years ago to be an RN. Before everyone of my nursing exams I pray to St. Jude to help me do my very best on the exam. I have done well on all of my exams and will be going into my final year of college in the fall. St. Jude has helped me to make my dream of becoming a nurse a reality. And soon I will be helping people just like St. Jude does.

Thank you St. Jude for the many intercessions you have made in my life. You have always answered my prayers and I am so very grateful. Most of all I wish to thank you for helping me on that dark day when I was on my way to see my dying mother at the hospital. For weeks she had been unable to function or to think clearly. On this particular morning, I was so broken down with the pain of seeing her so ill that I prayed to you to ask for respite. I asked for the seemingly impossible--that I could walk into her room and see her sitting up and smiling just one more time. We arrived at the hospital, we went to her room, and there she was--sitting up and smiling. She was joking with one of the nurses and looked at me with joy in her eyes. It was indeed the last time. She went back into her delirium and died a few weeks later. But, thanks to you, we had those few moments. Bless you St. Jude.

My brother lives in a very small town and lost his job. He has a small son who is the most important thing in his life, but his ex-wife has custody. Also he is very involved in his church. Since there are very few jobs in his town he was very depressed and even had thoughts of suicide, because he could not find a job. He thought he would have to move to find work. My son, a Marine, was one of the first groups to enter Iraq at the start of the war. He was there for almost 8 months. On September 8, 2003, I was admitted to St. Marys Hospital in Richmond, VA with a burst appendix. While still in the hospital, I went through my purse and discovered a medal of Saint Jude. I sincerely thank you St. Jude for your intercession on behalf of my husband. He has suffered from generalized anxiety disorder for many years. At times his anxiety, fear, and depression have been serious enough to have kept him from functioning in day to day activities. After one year of marriage, I began to feel as though I could no longer help him through the anxious times as I had before without feeling helpless, and he was beginning to question whether our relationship could endure his disease. He had tried behavioral therapy and medications, but nothing made him feel as though he was making progress. My husband injured his back badly. He was in constant, severe pain. Even strong pain medication did not help. Still he had to go to work each day, and that requires a 1 1/2 hour commute each way. At home he could not do anything but sit or stay in bed. The doctor said he should start to feel better, but after 5 weeks he was wondering if he would ever feel normal again. I prayed a novena to St. Jude. Ever since I completed the novena his pain has been very manageable, and some days hardly even there. Every day is better and better.
