Easter Message of Hope

Jesus at Easter

Dear Friend of St. Jude,

In just a few days we will celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection. We remember how He loved us; we celebrate because He is still with us, and we believe that He will come again. This is the day when God fulfilled His promise to us by raising Jesus from the dead. Happy Easter!

Easter is the great event that forms the very core of our beliefs… and the heart of our faith. Jesus’ Resurrection is an everlasting sign of hope that gives meaning to our lives.

Pope Francis states: “We proclaim the resurrection of Christ when his light illuminates the dark moments of our existence, and we are able to share it with others; when we know when to smile with those who smile, and weep with those who weep; when we accompany those who are sad and at risk of losing hope; when we recount our experience of Faith to those who are searching for meaning and happiness.”

We work day and night to bring hope to the suffering poor. Your donation – your generous gift – helps us continue these ministries. I am humbly praying that we can count on you today!

Here are just a few examples of how your past offerings have brought hope to our brothers and sisters…

You are helping to build parishes in an impoverished and spiritually broken community of Peru, bringing the love of God to people who hunger and thirst for the Lord. Our priests and brothers provide food, shelter, education and the hope of Christ to the people.

In Mozambique, our Pallottine priests are bringing tangible relief aid, along with the Good News of Jesus Christ to the poor. They are building two new churches to replace “open air” worship centers and also are providing an education for 22 seminarians.

In India, our Pallottine Sisters are caring for 25 abandoned children suffering with HIV/AIDS. Our Sisters provide not only food, clothing and shelter, but also meet the children’s extensive medical needs.

Many thanks for your prayers and support of our ministries and the people we serve. This Easter – as we celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection – let’s share that joy – and the most beautiful gift of hope – with everyone!

Please be sure to send me your intentions – those deep within your heart for family or friends who are struggling. Our priests and brothers place your intentions in the hands of St. Jude and make sure they are remembered in our prayers and in our Novenas and Masses at the Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.

May the Risen Lord be a source of joy and hope for you and your family.

Wishing you the Hope of St. Jude,

Fr. Peter Sticco, S.A.C.
Novena Director

P.S. Your gift today helps support all of our ministries, particularly our St. Jude Shrine and the poor we serve around the world. Please be as generous as possible and be sure to send your prayer requests so they can be remembered in the prayers, Novenas and Masses at our Shrine and on the tomb of St. Jude in the Vatican.
